Future Direction

So I can't help but notice that there's been a lack of response lately. I have come with three reasons.
1. My life is boring, and there's only one way to say, "that's nice"
2. My blogs have been so intellectual that all of you who read it are blown away and are embarassed by your puny minds
3. No one reads this anymore.

So I can either
a) start making up things
b) put my stories on here
c) choose your own adventures. It's your choice

Nerd, then geek? Wow it's enough to give someone a complex!

The Winter of your Miscontent

Oy today. I had to wake up earlier than I had woken up in probably 2 weeks. It was tough to do. As part of the drama troupe I had to do this movement thing about the mysteries of Christ. Funny thing is, I didn't get what half the movements were supposed to represent, so I'm not suprised if the people watching didn't understand either.
So that's done. I got home and there was a message on the machine from Leisa saying that today was Donna's birthday and to get my butt over to work to grab a card and a little something to stick a candle in. That was fun. I also made a bloody expensive eye appointment for Tuesday morning. Everybody wants to cash in on our bad health. Why can't I cash in, it's my problem!
Then I came home and watched a gazillion Alias' and fell asleep on the couch. After waking up, I called my mom because I had received some news and was wondering why she didn't tell me. Turns out she forgot. Anyway, I was, at the same time reading my email, and Laurel had sent me a request to be Mr. Van Daan in the upcoming show The Diary of Anne Frank, and by upcoming I mean I have a month and a half give or take to memorize the lines. Of course I can't say 'no' knowing all the effort and trouble going into finding male cast members, so I set out to memorize some lines, only to be sidetracked by Rocky IV. I must admit I enjoyed it. I never thought I would, but I did, and I think eventually would like to see all the Rocky's. So that was my day. It was sort of busy, and non-boring for the most part, but now I must head off to bed.

Somebody Told Me And I Ran

So I had written a post, and because the blasted internet was so slow, I lost everything but the title. Well, I hope it works again, if not, I just might throw my computer out the window. I've been really short-tempered lately, I don't know why. Just every little inconvenience makes me blow my top. Like right now, I'm not typing as well as I could, and I'm hitting backspace every 3 seconds, and it's frustrating me. Well, back to what I had written.
I had to go to North Hill Shopping Centre today to renew my liscence and switch it over to an Alberta liscence, so I decided to hit the HMV because I couldn't find the CD I wanted at the HMV in Market Mall last night. Success! I found the Killer's CD, and I also found The Flock of Seagulls CD. I bought them both. After so many years of taking from the music industry, I have finally given (my money). I am impressed with how good The Killer's are.
Last night, I joined Erin, Scott and Mitch for dinner at Market Mall, and I got - well Scott got for me - a salad from Subway and I was impressed how good and filling it was. We then went to the Marble Slab or something like that for icecream, and I got strawberry cheesecake icecream, but it was something more than just icecream. The guy scooped cheesecake flavoured icecream up, put 2 graham crackers on it, and added fresh strawberries, then mixed it together and put it in your choice of a waffle cone or bowl. It was so good - pricey, but good. I had fun hanging out with those guys outside of class. I hope to do it some more if time allows.

Paper Faces on Parade

Wow, if ever I've come close to wetting myself in pure joy from a movie, it was today. Yes folks, I finally got to see the Phantom. And as Alida will concur, when the broken chandelier gets revealed at the very beginning, and the music swells, I thought my heart was going to stop. I got goosebumps (or is it Schnell bumps? Probably not) for just about the entire thing. Andrew Loyd Webber, you are a genious. I'm writing this because I know he reads my blog every day. Anyway, if people are wondering what to do for a birthday gift (Hallowe'en), Phantom of the Opera would be a splendid gift. Oh, I also went to Peters' drive in. Quelle experience, and I met an AMA guy, for no particular reason. Well I'm getting a wee headache from looking at the computer screen with the lights on, so I'll bid you adieu.

Shotgun

So last night Scott and Brian came over and hung out for a bit, but I'd have to say the hilight of the night was when we did "shotgun" or "shotgunning", I have no idea what the proper term is. Anyway, the concept is to grab a can of something, preferably something fizzy I'm sure, shake it up, and make a hole close to the bottom. You are then expected to drink it all down. I was up to the challenge, so after Scott demonstrated, I gave it a go, and it was so funny. I got Pespi in my eye. So bad in fact, that when I blinked, my eyelid was sticky. Needless to say, there was Pepsi all over the kitchen, in the wierdest places. And I got it - well, some of it - on film. Not movie film of course. Tomorrow is the Phantom, and Peters' Drive-In. It'll be a week of firsts to be sure.

Rock and a Hard Place

Yep, that's where you can find me if anyone is looking. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to learn about drama anymore. Not here. And it's frustrating because here is why I packed everything up and left. I can't go to the Academic Dean because if I say anything that he repeats, then my life as a student in the drama program will become more precarious. I don't to move here, unless it's back home, and I don't have much left back there thanks to my move. My wish is that I could do some correspondance drama. I could live here, could work more, and I wouldn't have to deal with the people. It's so upsetting. I realized today in the shower (I'm sure we all get a lot of good thinking done there) that my program has been compromised, and it's not the program I signed up for, and as Neely said, once you sign up for a program, it's like that for you until you graduate. Well, not anymore, and it's ruining me. Do you need drama to be a screenwriter? Well, I'm going to look at colleges for correspondance. Ciao.

Homeward Bound

I'm coming home! Well, in a few months, but home nonetheless. I'll be arriving in the ON at 12:45 May 23 (also known as Victoria Day) and spending a glorious 12 days. One thing for sure I'll be doing is going to K-W for my bro's wedding and hopefully seeing Noley. Miss her tonnes. If Andy of the Mack variety is reading this entry, I don't know if you'll still be in PB at that time, but I hope to see Bob and Marcy at Elim, so mayhap we'll see each other. I just really can't wait to be home, and seeing all the people I haven't seen in literally years. Well, I'm going to read for a bit, so I'll be up up and away in my beautiful, my beautiful balloon. Well, not really, just on my couch.

Music of the Night

Ah, Michael Crawford, I'll be your angel of music any day. So Alida, potentially Laurel and I are going to watch Phantom on Sunday. This girl is ever so excited. I get so pumped up whenever I hear the soundtrack. That's good music. By far, my favourite is Music of the Night by Crawford. His voice is just unbelievably good. Can't wait to see how this one turns out. From all the reviews I've seen it looks good.
Today at work, we got the new VPR. (No idea what it stands for) Basically we get new colours and styles and what not, and our store needs to be 'renovated' to reflect the new look. New items to the front, old/sale items to the back and never the two shall meet. It was my responsibility to do the plus side of the store. I've done it before, and I'm sure I'll do it again, but let me tell you it is exhausting. You have to follow what head office decides, but they don't always give you everything you need, so there is some element of decision making that I had to make. Luckily Leisa was there, and we were able to discuss what would be the better option. Still, I was a tired girl once I got out there, and because Leisa gave me a ride (a good thing, don't get me wrong), I forgot to put my boots on, so they're still at work, which means my tender tootsies will freeze while waiting for the bus tomorrow morning. Ah well, builds character, or some other cliche. Well, going to bed now.

4.0

Well, Scott, you're right. I have had nothing really exciting to write about. Until today and my first 4.0 GPA. Now before I get a really good party with a banner that says, "Happy 4.0 Kim!", I must tell you readers, that I have only been graded on one class so far. The other classes are labelled "IP" or, "In Progress", and since Cindy does not give out "A's" unless you're a total recluse for years and years, doing only drama and willing to imagine everyone you love as dead. I'm honestly not that willing to do so, so I will savour my 4.0 as long as I can.
Well school started today, and I had my first frustration of the semester with my program. Gosh, it's sad when all it takes is 10 minutes. I was slated to take a course called Vocal Production and Play Analysis. 2 separate courses, with only 2 credit hours. That's bad enough. But add in a Theatre History class to the mix (which I've already taken) and we get, 3 different classes with heavy workloads, and I'm only getting 2 credit hours for it. Oh, and that means I have to take the class 4 times a week. Oh, and I was not told about any of this. Super! My mom has also advised me, and I have talked to myself about this to, about going to the academic dean, and getting some assurance that my program will continue until I graduate. People are fickle, and I have no intention of being screwed, especially since I gave up so much to come here and get this degree. That's my rant for this evening.
I made a bookshelf yesterday, and I had to use a hammer...no big deal I can handle it. I'm not used to the motion, and today I realized that my elbow hurt. The same elbow I have repeated strain in (fancy for tennis elbow). It seems that the hammering has aggravated my old icecream injury. Heh, sounds kind of lame, but let me tell you, that ice cream I had to scoop all those years ago was really hard, and I worked with a bunch of girly girls and at the first sign of hard icecream, melted like...well, icecream in the sun. Well, I don't know how exciting all this is, but it's better than nothing, and if nothing else, will cure boredom for the 15 seconds it takes to read this.

I Shot the Sheriff

So I closed Tuesday night, and whilst I was waiting for the bus, I heard a lot of bangs. It didn't really faze me, but the next morning, I found out some guy was shot in the parking lot, and the bangs I heard was the gunshot. So my boss advised me to call the police because if nothing else, I could tell them the time I heard the shots. I went outside at 9:25, and got on the bus at 9:30, so I gave them less time to work with, which is a good thing for them. Very interesting. Last night we played Scene It? for 2 hours. It was pretty good, but because my mind was on trivia stuff, it took awhile to step down into sleep mode. And I had to wake up at 7. I went home early though, since we were so dead. Well, I'm going to watch the O.C. and CSI. Ciao

Fill in the Blanks

I took this from Faith's Xanga...looking forward to seeing what the response is.

A) Recommend to me:
1. a movie.
2. a book.
3. a musical artist, song, or album.
B) Ask me three questions. Ask me anything you want.
C) Now go to your blog (if you have one), copy and paste this, and allow everyone to ask you the same.
